Clinical Psychologist

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Clinical Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in Diss, Norfolk area. As a Clinical Psychologist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This special service provides quality, specialised treatment for males and females with learning disabilities where their needs challenge mainstream service provision in medium and low secure services.

As a Clinical Psychologist your day to day duties include:
• Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the client’s therapy plan.
• Manage an assigned caseload within agreed timescales ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised information systems and other associated documentation presenting and sharing relevant information and knowledge concerning assigned clients with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings.
• Lead and co-ordinate professional and clinical colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and guidance, and assists with the analysis of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes.

An ideal Clinical Psychologist must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
• Relevant Masters degree as a minimum, a recognised post-graduate qualification together with accreditation from the relevant professional institution
• Professional practice experience gained within their chosen field of therapy
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload
• Able to communicate effectively and to develop professional relationships

The successful Clinical Psychologist will receive an excellent annual salary of £45,000 depending on experience. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
