Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology to work in a reputable, exceptional private hospital based in the South Kensington, London area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers
This is private hospitals which offers treatment for both adults and children, and are dedicated to providing world-class care to patients
**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As a Nurse your key duties include:
Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals following diagnosis and through all stages of treatment
Ensure continuity of a high standard of evidence-based nursing care for patients undergoing systemic anti-cancer treatment therapy; assessing health, health related and nursing needs of patients, their families, and other cares by identifying and initiating appropriate steps for effective care
Ordering diagnostic tests within agreed parameters
Running nurse-led clinics as required
Work autonomously whilst providing clinical leadership, ensuring all patients have an accurate plan of care, which reflects the assessment undertaken and incorporates the issues and recommendations made ensuring clear documentation in the patients records
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Must have a current ILS certificate or be prepared to undertake the course within the first 3 months
Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role
Evidence of continuous professional development
Experience in risk assessment
Venepuncture and wound care competent
Knowledge of NMC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £39,330 - £46,270 per annum DOE. We currently have vacancies for both days and night shifts available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
